Is using material from WaW in CoD4 considered a violation of copyrights?
Just wondering, then again it's just a mod, no money or editting source codes involved.
This is about infringement of XBoX 360 firmware - not about copyrighted material, which allows the console game to be hacked, yet bypass the MS Live "pure" console check.
That is why Activision considers it "extremely serious" because it puts their contract with Microsoft in jepody, and of course, all the money they make from it.
If it were a PC hack, Activsion wouldnt bother. Theres little or no money to be made out of PCs, so we dont matter.

Ok thanks for the info, even though they don't "care" I still hope i'm not violating anything.
As for the hack, sounds nasty, I thought it had to do with random multiplayer cheats. |
