There is such a thing "PERFECT MAP"?

Have you ever had the feeling "I finalized this map, there is no bugs, everything perfect"? I never felt this. I always found some minor things, and this is an endless story. Finaly I just made a deal, and told myself "done". You guys ever have felt the same? Or I am just too paranoid? Have you ever completed a map without any bugs, and felt contented?

My map is never perfect, just like the topic title. See??

Well, the one thing I have learned is that there is always someone who will find an exploit on any map. I have had my clan test a map for a week, and no problems found, but sure enough, when it goes public, there is always a glitch. Dont sweat it though, I know of a glitch on most of the stock maps as well.

There is no such thing as "The Perfect Map". Because someone always will managed to find something you and your beta testers have overlooked. But at a point you've just got to say "It's done now. And if bug are found, so be it, and let's just hope they're not major ones.". If you don't you'll never finish your map.

Hmmm.. maybe that's it.. the perfect map is just a map which is never finished, which is the reason why it's not public yet :p

There is even a big bug in the map MP_Rhinevalley. If you want the demo file just PM me.

But the point is that even the makers of COD make mistakes.

the makers of cod are people and people make mistaks [wink]

i'm sure that everymap will have atleast a couple of bugs but sometimes no one or a few will notice it :) gorilla i don't think you are paranoid it is true that a map never gets finished there is always something that you want to make a bit different. but like caretaker and gorilla said, you must say to yourself it is finished.

This is the same problem like the artists have with fine art. For example the pencil drawing. Which is the last pencil line? There is always a spot to draw a line. I learned from my teachers at the drawing class, you have to say onec "done". because at the and of the day the whole paper will be black. But one of the hardest thing for an artost to say: "I am quit. Its done, and I won't draw the next line I just wanted." This is the only way to finalize this, or finalize a map.
