Ok so I did the Ctrl + L and I get this weird looking stuff... and on top of this, why is my terrain not showing in this mode? I dont recall this happening before when doing the Ctrl + L

This is lightmap mode. If your terrain patch has no texture then it doesn't show up in lightmap mode. This mode is used for fixing bad lighting on patches mostly. You use the surface editor ( 's' key ) to fix the lightmaps in the same way you would adjust textures on a patch.

Well I fixed all those lightmap issues but still dont have a clue why my terrain isnt showing up in there when I have grass applied. If I go below it I can see the wireframe with the lightmap grid along the wiring but nothing viewing the surface. Anyone have a clue?

One possibility is you might have used a blend texture, yyou can alpha blend a blend texture so its invisible from the top but can still see the wire frame from underneath, dunno, just a possibility. Ian.

No I did not, I have no filters on except for sky and water. So Im kinda at a loss.
