I’m looking for some real beginner MP mapping tutorials video preferably. I found the wiki here so I will be looking closer at that, but where does a beginner start with regards to the tools programs? I have a real simple little town drawn on paper that I think could have the possibility of getting bigger as the mapping experience gets better.
Links to resolved beginner mapping issues might be good as well

Just keep reading these forums for ways to do things and ways to solve problems....most everything has been discussed or will be......well....thats what I did anyway

Try checking out this video. It covers the basics of codww mapping and should help you get started.

I downloaded the tools and when I extracted them I got a few file crupt messages

Though these are not videos in the WW section, many, if not all, of the techniques used in the videos still apply to mapping in WW.

You need to make sure you get 1.0, 1.2, then 1.2.1

If I already copies the tools to my coswaw program folder can I recopy in the order of 1.0, 1.2, then 1.2.1
or do I have to uninstall everthing again and start over

Its always safe to start fresh, step by step, but you CAN recopy. You should be fine. :)

aren't all CoD mapping tools about look-a-like / have the same handles + new stuff?

try looking into the older CoD 1 tutorials.. i didn't check recently, maybe there have been made copies compatible to CoD:WW..

i always fall back to the cod 1 tuts because they're the basic ground layer for all cod versions in my opinnion. if you know how to work your way in cod1 mapping and scripting, cod4 and 5 should be (way) easier..

tell me if i'm wrong though, cuz i didn't use the CoD:WW mapping tools yet .. haha.. didn't even map for a year maybe longer..
