Very sorry to hear that CustomCod is down, hope it gets sorted.

The Post from Larry, aka Cordnerd is that it wont get sorted - it wont come back online as he is quitting the scene. Many will say good ridance, the dude was the founder of a Cracked community and Admin on Epic Gaming until september last year after all .... [mad]

That was over a year ago.
And no matter what anyone's personal opinion is about CustomCoD or the person who ran it [CoDNerd]... it doesn't justify having someone's private information broadcasted out in public for everyone to see and mess with, or destroying a community of 34,000+ users when the hacking was not related to what he did over a year ago.

CoDNerd stopped hosting cracked servers a long time ago because he agreed that it just wasn't right.

Hacking a site like that is just not good, alot of people came there to help eachother and show off their work and get feedback.
I doubt CoDNerd will ever move a single muscle again to help out anyone he doesn't know, can't blame him for that after the stunt they just pulled off.

A moment of laughter occured however when I read on the hackers forum that he had gotten a huge amount of E-mails from people asking him how he managed to hack the website.
This clearly shows how immature some of the "modding community members" are.

Well cant stop thinking thats not right either ... As a few already said, he doesn't matter who is the admin of the site...then you would expect him passing the torch (forums) to someone else to avoid letting down 34000+ members the site claimed to have had.

CoDNerd doesn't owe anyone anything, he did it to help, if he wants to stop then he stops.

Simple as that.

Claimed? Sounds like disbelief.

The site actaully did have 34,000+.
You can check for yourself before the servers go down at:
http://customcod.com/community_byecustomcod.../index.php

Photo copy just in case.

He can't pass the forum torch on to anyone else to host the stuff if he isn't in direct contact with it, otherwise there will be the couple of users who throw fit if the database is handed off to someone else, similar to how people got mad when JD2020 pulled the CoDHQ userbase over for AggreoGame even though he runs both sites. Nerd more than likely got private offers from people who want to keep the forum up on different websites carrying the torch but would run into legal issues with user privacy.

I tend to disbelieve that number too. It would have been easy to import the members list from his other db's from sites of his past....

Personally I dont really go by the alleged number of members that any site puts up for show or in actuality. What I go by is what does the site offer visitors/members. I will admit that he had a pretty good collection of help material for the zombie group. Good for him. Other sites offer up much more but then that is the nature of this community and any other community that can be thought of.

Sparks I dont blame you for defending a friend, I do the same thing for mine.

I feel so bad for nerd....I have known him for a while and even tho I didnt always agree with him 100% on everything he made an awesome community that was the home to so many.

Yes, nerd did once have cracked servers for cod4....he provided it to tons and tons of people running cracked versions of the game....but then he shut it down disappointing all these unlegit people. Nerd then made a great call of duty community that was there to help people.....he showed he changed...he did not deserve this at all. Running cracked versions does not hurt anyone in the cod community.....only hurts the developers/publishers....he does not need to apologize to anyone in the community he did nothing to them! I bet over 50% of the people that got on his ass for having those crack servers download illegal software daily.....those people were doing just as much wrong as nerd.

If this was only a site hack.....this wouldnt be a big deal at all...those things happened...but this hacker stole so much from nerd including his dignity and pride!
