Hi there guys, second time posting on the forum. Everyone has been lovely so far, very helpful! ^.^
So here's my problem. I recently figured out how to manipulate terrain with more grace and I realized that you had to make lots of little terrain pieces in order to map around a hole in the ground, like a well. I read the tut here on how to make a well, but it didn't explain the terrain part, just making the well. I converted the well into an entrance to an underground bunker with a ladder, and everything was find until I looked at it in game. In order to make the bottom of the well, I took the textures I used on top, and flipped them around so that they'd be upside down. It appears fine in Radiant, but when I load into the game, it is transparent and I don't know why! I guess I'm just really new to this. probably something simple and dumb that I didn't realize. I'm still trying to get a grasp on all my LMAP light errors xD But yeah any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Spider
P.S. Also, is there any way to take 2 separate terrain pieces and sort of weld them into a single piece? Just wonderin, thanks!

SUCCESS! They are finally visible in game again. The Shift L Lmaping was definitely the answer. Thank you guys SO much. That was holding me up for ages.
So just to get this straight for myself and for anyone else with this problem. When you are getting LMAP errors, Press SHIFT-L and search your map for distorted blocks. once you find them, highlight, press S , and then you can press Shift-L again and go back to your textures, and even if you wanted them distorted, they will remain so because you Lmapped in a different mode.?
Thanks a million guys. That was great response time ^.^ Better than the other forums out there >.< Again thanks! You guys rock@! |
