I keep getting this error when trying to compile, everything ive heard of doing ive tried and it hasnt worked..can anyone shed some light on what exactly causes this error? Thanks!

Usally caused by a overly bent patch causing to many vertices.
If your not sure where your bad brush is make a copy of your
map file,as a backup.Delete diff. sections of map and compile
till no error and from trial error narrow it down and you should be able too find the bad patch. Once your sure which brush(s) delete it from your back up so you do t lose all that work.Compile geomtry often and have multiple backups on diff. drives, One dead hard drive clamed a 90% cod2 map once.

yeah ive been trying to pinpoint it by going through and deleting all of my cylinders, arches and meshes little by little..its pretty much all terrain now and its still not working..ill probably get it soon, thanks a lot though man:)

As long as you have a backup you can delete whole sections with "select in" too narrow it down as there may be more than one bad brush.Takes awhile but what choice ya got.

whats the dimensions in radiants grid

example. is it 512x512? you can tell by selecting the widest portion which would be the bottom of the skybox from the top view and just tell me what the numbers on the right and the bottom x and y are

Ive narrowed it down to a section of my map, when it compiles i can go into the map however this prefab ive narrowed it down to will not show up in the map..if anyone would like to help find out whats wrong with it i will send you the prefab i really have no idea what it could be at this point

i too have had this problem and tired everything you guys are talking about from taking things out one by one and getting rid of all bent objects to all streched objects and then terrian that has been cut to much and personally i say once you get this error it is time to trash the map and try to build it over again, just use your map as a blue print that way you know what needs to go where but this time do a little at a time then compile look at it and then start building on it again thats the best way so when you get the error you know what is wrong with the map(the last thing you put in there).
