Hi, i finally got my maya exporting working i exported it converted it
i called the .gdt "mg42" and the actual mode mg42 it has xmodel called "mg42" xmodelsurfs and part called "mg42.mb4" (without quotes)
and when i bit in to mp map or sp map it comes up as defult veichle. The model is just mg42 with no bi-pod. any ideas??
just made collmap for it dont change anything
i just going to call it weapon_mg43 so it dont overwrite otherone

i did a xmodelalias file too...
that did not do anything sitll comes up as car?
when i emptied the xmodel folder and renamed it weapon_mg42 it actually came up as mg42... and i did it as mg43 red box.
so... what should i do?

yep sevenz, i looked it up it says it a common extention for modeling programmes/ its only in surfs/parts alias has .gsc and xmodel has nothing, anyway i got it working now its because i didn't do the xmodelalias properly. if you WERE learning and now you know it, help other people by sharing it.

i been trying viewsleeves and it doesn't make sence at all the bits dont add up =/ does anyone else have a tutorial for importing new weapon models in to the game?
i can do my own static models - there easy its just getting the ones that players use can sombody give me a good tutorial please

first i know how to do viewsleeves... second i also model weapons i've already done 2 automatic weapons and a lot of bash weapons... and yea is not hard to change that head i just done it for fun soon i'll do characters i think.

Is like this little of that first they're not perfect but if i take more time i'm sure i can pwn doing a weapon.
And in the end that head took me 1 min or 2 to make it on game , i'm doing hats and glasses ( FBI MODEL ) and i've learn all of this with help yes.. but not spamming modsonline with questions just testing...
And yes i've them on game u dont need any tutorial to make them on cod2... and i stop wasting my time because u will still spamming modsonline with ur questions... just have fun and learn well
