ok dudes
i have compiled about a 100 times but n,ow al of a sudden all the X models placed in my map are gone?
when i open up my map in uorad they appear again but aftr the compileing there gone....
do i need to do a full compile? couse when im prompted to pres a key to move on i just shuit down and take the bsp file

That's probably your problem right there. I'm pretty sure that in the compile it completes half, then says "press any key to continue". Than it completes the other half, and finally says "press any key to continue" again. However pushing a key will just close it when it's done so I don't see any reason to ever just "shut it down".

i always compiled just until the bsp file was written but only now imù getting these probs
....is it normal a full compile takes about 2 ours?
couse it only takes abot 2 minits to get my first bsp file

anyways im gonna trie it

compiling time depends on how well you built your map and your computer.

my 700mHz piece o crap i used to have took about 4-6 hours to compile my mp_cs_italy map. And that map isnt huge but its not small.

but back on topic of your problem. You should let it fuly compile to get models, lighting etc. etc. into your map.

try to make a fast vis and flare compile, and the compile time depends on how complex youre map is.

to do a fast vis or flare add the line:

-fast

in youre .bat file behind the vis adn flare part.
