To model you need maya and i think for coduo it is maya 5.0 or 6.0? anyway you have to buy it and can cost quite a bit i think there are other programmes but maya is most common. and others you still have to pay for so...

Thanks, Ukdjaj

You can import models from 3D Max aswell, only static models I think.

If they are animated you probably need to do 'em in Maya.

Thanks,
I'm going to start with Lightray modeling,
if I can get to grips with that then I can look at maya.

I'm really bad at this sort of thing, so if I learn it anyone can,
I will bump this post if all goes well and maybe encourage others to try it out.
here goes

There are trials of some modelling programs on the net. Most need to be purchased as they require a license key.

Illegally downloading files and advertising such methods is not permitted here.

NIGHTMARE,
is there nothing easy about these programmes.
I spend the day searching for tutorials and info and don't seem to be able to find what I need.
if by some miracle, I get into this, and am able to make things a new web site will be born. one that's as easy to follow as the yellow brick road.
but I intend to learn it, so back to it

Lightray modeling, spend the day looking for easy tutorials and to be honest, I dislike it, cant find what I want, fast losing interest.

3DMAX, took a look at this, instantly found the tutorials a noob like me needs. like what I seen, vertices's like in coduo mapping, lots of good video tutorials with step by step guides.
don't know the price of the programme, but I'm going to watch lots of tutorials before I make my next move.
