Hi i was working on my sp map and i got the fx's to loop and play but now i have noticed that some fx's are not being played in there proper angles? how do i fix this? here is an example of one my fx found in my _fx.gsc:

fx3_Sorigin = getent( "amb_ground_smoke_launch_a", "targetname" );
fx3_Sorigin.angles = ( 0, 270, 0 );
level._effect ["ground_smoke_launch_a" ] 			=	loadfx("smoke/ground_smoke_launch_a");
maps\_fx::loopfx( "ground_smoke_launch_a", fx3_Sorigin.origin, 0.3  );



any help on resolving this would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Change this line.

fx3_Sorigin.angles = ( 270, 0, 0 );


try that. All of my fx angles are like this...

FX are a 2D image, how can you have an angle on them? By angle are you meaning the direction in which the effect is played? For example, instead of steam coming out from the side of a pipe?
nullFew tips for coding.
1. Keep the script as short as possible.
2. Don't comment every line. Only comment portions where they may be needed to point something out.
3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it organized and easy to read.

These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.

yea im talking bout the fx playing at a different angle than that of which is when you dont give it the position

Change the 270, 0, 0 coordinates, example 320, 180, 180, I have done this with smoke and it works. I just don't remember what each one does. You can edit the fx.gsc and just rebuild the fast file till you get the angle you want.
