I have recently followed a tutorial to make a map, and when I attempt to compile it, the CoD window closes and this error shows up in the console:

(!) UNRECOVERABLE ERROR: EXE_ERR_HUNK_ALLOC_FAILED256

Other than this and the usual "Access to path ... \Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\mods\ ... etc. is denied" errors, which supposedly as I have read are inconsequential, there are no other errors in the log.

I cannot load my map in-game after loading usermaps and attempting to run it via the console spmap command. Thus, I cannot even effectively test the map I have created.

A fresh install of both CoD and the mod tools did not remedy this error.

CoD version 1.4.1144, mod tools version 1.2.1.

Any thoughts? Can't figure this out or find any info on it online. Posted on another board but haven't found any solution yet...

The error doesn't show up in the map file. I assume you meant "nazi_zombie_cc.map," where cc is the name of my map? That is all there is in this folder besides the map files that came with the tools, and it does not have any of the 'words' in that error in it.

I should also probably have noted in my original post that none of the maps the tools came with will compile, either. Returns the hunk alloc failed error above just like on my map.

I used his guide, but the problem started before I decided to go with a step-by-step tutorial. I tried making my own map before hand and got the same problem.

Okay, so I gave up on my computer and tried running it on my brother's computer, and the hunk alloc error did not occur there. However, now I am getting this runtime error when my map is loading:

******* script runtime error *******

return level.zombie_weapons[weapon_name].hint;

maps\_zombiemode::main();
*

Unfortunately, I'm not amazing at code so I'm not sure how to interpret it or what to do about it. I understand that the line 227 area has to do with the script for a weapon upgrade, but that's the best I can do, and I feel I might be wrong there.
