Im not sure why you keep getting this error, if anything is OK it should work, maybe Ill sleep on it, and if i get any ideas ill post them in the morning, as of now im off [wave]

Also this will probably work in World At War but you would need a model (import the TV) with the right tags on it. Obviously TV of that type would be weird in World War 2 so a projector screen would be a better option.

my question was if there is any info on this for the multiplayer cod4 (or codww).
The problem is that the multiplayer does not recognize the function
"CinematicInGameLoopFromFastfile" in the gsc. nor some of the other cinematic scriptfunctions i tried.
It compiles, but at startup you get script error unknown function.
Or am i doing something wrong here?
1 put the function in the main gsc with bik name
2 load the bik in the csv (zone_source)
3 radiant cinematic model or use cinematic texture

this would be awesome if it works in multiplayer.

they aren't available in multiplayer. fullstop.

i posted an alternative over at RGN:

Animated Sprites (FX)

the FX engine supports multi-frame sprites (billboard/oriented). they can be used to create the illusion of TVs like in SP using BIK videos. Here is an example 4 frame (2x2) billboard sprite:



note that they are flat unlike "mapped" videos on cinematic_3d material of a model. but it's also possible to use xmodels in EffectsEd. The problem with "animated" models is probably the xmodel limit, so sprites are definately the better choice.

i resume that cinematics are not possible in multiplayermaps, right?
So i say thanks a big time for makin my day and enlighten me.
Thats pretty sad to see it only works on sp...
