Hello,

I have reached the limits in radiant of both brushes and meshes :/
Im desperatly in need of someone who could convert aprox 10 prefabs into models.

I did download the maya trial and managed to import a .map into it but thats as far as a get atm. The complexity of the program might just be a brige too far for me.

If anyone would be so kind to do this for me i shall be very greatfull.

i'd like to try it out of interest. i made simple building for a quick test and i figured out that tris, cm, merge works. quads, inches and uv did not work for me. not sure what's the problem with uv export, but it would really suck if the textures won't transfer.

I have no idea what you just said but im glad you are willing to help :)

About half of the prefabs are metal fences. Any black metal textures will do for that. The other half is ruble, mostly single bricks. There are 2 or 3 brick models available but the texture isnt right. Those pieces are supposed to have the same texture as the buildings, i hope that possible.

Hey spuddy,
don't give up on maya to soon,
I just started with it from scratch in the beginning of
this week. And after a few days i'm already able to create
full custom models with custom textures. 3d custom heads
and faces on to characters. sketchupmodels to maya to radiant,
...
Your modding and mapping possibilities will become endless.
Just follow some video tutorials on the following:
-maya basics (navigating,drawing, ...)
-uv mapping
-linking psd file to shader/texture in maya
-applying textures to polygons

you will be amazed!
I'm a novice, but will be glad to help you with any questions.

Are you able to save or export your work with the trial version? I thought that feature was disabled in the trial version? If you can, I think I might give it a go myself, as the full version of Maya (at over £2,000) is way too expensive for a man with a family (like myself) in the present financial climate.

silicone_milk's TOXEC is a free alternative to get static models into the game. you should give it a try demon.
