Hello everyone,

first off, I hope I posted this question in the right spot. Here is the question. I am running a server with a friend of mine and we're trying to get our AWE mod (v2.12) to be downloaded to a subfolder of the call of duty install folder, for example "..\Call of Duty\Mod\w_awe_uo_v2.1_client.pk3". I have used Google, obviously, but all I seem to find are the same pages over and over, totally irrelevant to my question. How would I go about getting my mod downloaded correctly?

Thanks in advance,
Ferdinandes

Well, this is a "basic" server administration question, and there are absolutly tons of threads on it dotted around the Call of Duty forums, so I'm surprised you havent found any topics on it when googling.

You have to create what is called an fs_game folder. This is a folder outside the 'uo' and 'main' folders.

You put the awe mod in there. Then you have to start up your server using a commad line, which executes the fs_game folder.

Most server rental companies include a control panel feature that lets you edit your command line, and they usually provide examples to give you a template to work from.

If your server is a Linux server, and your rental company dont offer access to the commandl line, just contact them, or raise a support ticket with them, and they will set it up for you.

As for setting up the awe mod to download from this fs_game folder, please see this thread (no registration required):

Thanks a lot! That was really helpful. I guess I didn't know what to search for using Google in the first place.
I knew it had something to do with fs_game, because I kept seeing it left and right, but had no clue about what to do with it. After some more searching around the IW forums I finally found a nice detailed tutorial which helped me set the AWE mod up the way I wanted. Thanks again for the help!
