HELLO ALL YOU HAPPY MAPPERS,

Put a smile on my face and tell me how to do a nice sandy terrain...... desert style.

I await your words of wisdom.

The rather obvious and stupid answer is search for some sand textures or even photos of sand to make into a texture. Nothing very usefull in the standard list I know, I tried maing a beach map and had to huntaround for a suitable sand texture.

most commonly i see the sand textured ripped from *cough* MOHAA, though creating your own is as easy as this

Thanks for that Stryder..... I'm ploughing through the tuts but i'm sure you will appreaciate, to a noob it's all very confusing...a very very very steep learning curve. I will hang in there though cause I love it.

PS. Just became a preferred member to give back some of what i'm taking out.
