I have searched all forums on this, have not found anything that helps, I have tdm allies axis spawn and tdm spawn. I am sure i have done the triggers correctly and everything else.

????

You MUST have at least "7" different locations for your HQ. Any less and it fails, any more and? I don't know, maybe it fails as well, but I know you must have at least "7" Locations for your HQ setup. Double check that.

aha! lmao thanks. I misread the tutorials and wiki it said "maximum of seven"

my bro and I have crappy comps, we wanted to have a map where he could level up and have good fps. lol

oh noes. still does not work

have all the war_hq_obj.map thingies inside triggers.
can someone tell me fully about the triggers, do not understand this: This trigger should have a targetname value of “radiotrigger”.

triggers may be the problem?

All you need to do is first get the prefab for the box and laptop, which is the objective.

war_hq_obj.map

Make sure your adding it as a prefab. Right click 2D window, misc>prefab

Just make one.

Then draw a brush around the prefab, make sure the prefab is totally enclosed (inside) the trigger, it can be a bigger, but not smaller than the prefab. While brush only is selected, right click 2D window and go to trigger>multiple. The brush is now a trigger_multiple brush.

While trigger is selected, press "N" and give your trigger the following values.

Key: targetname
Value: radiotrigger


Press Enter.

Now you can Select the trigger and prefab, both, and duplicate it to make all 7 locations. Remember, the player has to be touching the trigger in order to capture the location, so make sure you make the trigger big enough. You can resize the triggers of the duplicated locations if needed, but make certain your prefab is always (inside) the trigger!

KOTH uses WAR (TDM) spawns as you already know, so if your team deathmatch works, and this gametype doesn't then you have not created your Locations correctly.

If your old KOTh setup wasn't working, I suggest starting over. This gametype should easy to add and doesn't take much work at all, just a bunch of copy and paste basically.

EDIT: I may have been mistaken on my first post. I should have said, any more than 7 and it fails, any less and I think your ok, but remember, the more locations you have the better the gametype plays. Under 7 that is.

i have recreated my hq and made new triggers. my hq prefabs are fully inside the triggers and i have added the targetname and radiotrigger things. not working still.

team deathmatch works, so what do you mean by "locations?" spawn points or the hq locations?

HQ Locations.

I have no idea if your following the steps correctly, it sounds like you are. I can only assume you are. There is something you're doing wrong, I just don't know what it is. [confused]

i think i may have almost got it working.

when i test my map it still switches to backlot but stays on headquarters.

what is the problem now?

just a side note, there is a little box under the crate and the laptop, does it have to be overthe ground or under?
