Ok, I learned from my last map

Quite simple.

They take so long to compile...

40 mins on a pretty small map...

So my question is,

Is it possible to play and check the map, without having the dreadful wait of compiling?

to just get the bsp built, u can make a bat with just this in it

============


C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\uoTools\bin\q3map" -fulldetail -game uo "C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\uo\maps\mp\mymapname


pause

that'll give u a map that is playable, but no lights or shadows. Cuts my 75min compile down to about 2 mins

Compile with

fast vis

This means an almost instant bsp build.

You also do not need to do a flare compile, unless you are looking at the lighting. You will just get a very bright map lol

best way to quickly check I find
