Hi.

I've looked virtually everywhere to find out how I can get an .obj model into COD Radiant.

I noticed there is supposed to be a plug-in, with which you can export models from 3ds max to .xmodel for use in COD Radiant. Can someone please tell me if it's at all possible and where I could find such a plug-in for 3ds max?

Thank you,
gasperkm

I might be of some help here. You can open the file up in a program called Blender (google is your friend). Then search for CoDEmanX47's blender plugin for xmodel exports. Open blender, install the plugin, open your model and export as a .xmodel_export. Then use the converter in ..(CoD1 parent directory)/tools/bin/converter. Use that and there you go an xmodel. Sadly I've haven't been able to get them working in CoD Radiant just yet, but who knows might happen soon. Hope I was of help :)

The xmodel file gets exported to this folder .../tools/game/xmodel (also there is the other files like xmodelparts, xmodelsurfs and so on)

The problem that I (as well as many other people) had with the plugin was that once it was put into blender, it did not show up in the addons list and did absolutely nothing... I'm not sure what the cause for that was

Go to User Preferences then in "Support level" section, click Testing and It should be there. Ortherwise, you didn't install it correctly, try to reinstall.
