I got it working. I wasn't using the entity gui texture, but instead i used the entity gui pda texture b/c the texture names in the viewer are overlapping! just posting to say that gui's do work in mp maps ... [more]

the lip specifies how much of the legnth of the door overhangs from where the door is in its closed state, so a negative value would open the door past its length. You can't make it move on the z using lip, only with the angle key... [more]
