EMP You need to specify where it is in the compile. If you are 36hrs with the vis or flare steps, try -fast for those settings. I found that the 2 biggest steps were in the vis and flare... the bigger your map w/o portals the longer this takes in vis... [more]

I am not sure what decides which direction the texture points, but you might try this... Select your terrain... then the 's' button to bring up the surface inspector. Click the 'cap' button. This seems to cause the texture to be more even distributed... [more]
