MORK v WORLD Mod
Downloaded 121 times
Ever wondered how the good people of MORK managed to do the V world friday night jamboree's well now you can. Not only that you can do it yourself to

This vWorld mod was developed by [MORK]Jimbo of http://www.morkclan.co.uk

The code in this mod is Copyright © morkclan.co.uk All Rights Reserved. This work is distributed under the GNU Public Software License Agreement in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to my vWorld mod. This is a very simple mod which allows all clan or team players with specified tags to play all together on a specified team (allies or axis) whilst everyone else is forced to on the opposite side. In other words this mod allows your clan to take on all the world by forcing the rest of the world onto the opposite team than your clan.

THIS IS MY FIRST EVER MOD AND WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR MORK USE ONLY. I HAVE RELEASED IT BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE TOLD ME I SHOULD AS THERE IS NO OTHER LIKE IT OUT THERE SO HERE IT IS.. WARTS AND ALL.. THEREFORE PLEASE DON’T BE TOO CRITICAL.

FEATURES

• There is no need to completely stop/start the server to enable or disable the mod.

• Automatically changes the server name (if required) when the mod is enabled and reverts the name back automatically when the mod is disabled.

• The clan team can force the public to either allies or axis. This can also be changed in-game via the console or rcon.

• The clan team can play on either side whilst the mod is enabled such that if there are not many public on the server your clan members can supplement their numbers.

Nade cooking is included in the mod.

INSTALLATION

This mod was designed to be used on a stock server however it will sit happily alongside some mod’s such as some all-rifles mod’s however it will not work with mods such as AWE, WRM or Admiral.

- Create a folder called “vWorld” in your Call of Duty 2 home directory (not in main, but in the same folder as main is located, normally Call of Duty 2vWorld). Extract the files to that folder.

- Add the following to your server’s executable string:

+set fs_game vWorld exec

- Inside at the end att the line:

exec vWorld.cfg

SETTINGS

All setting are done in the vWorld.cfg file which can be found in the vWorld folder.

vWorld_ClanTeam "" // set to allies or axis (lowercase) i.e.. axis
This is the team you want your clan to be on when they face the world.

vWorld_ClanTags "" // plain clan tags (without colour codes) i.e.. [MORK]
These are the ‘plain’ uncoloured version of your clan tags that the mod will use to determine who is in your clan and who is public.

vWorld_ClanTagsColour "" // full clan tags (with colour codes) this is used for in-game messages i.e.. ^3[MORK] (optional)
These tags are purely aesthetic in that they put your clan name in their correct colouring in any on-screen messages that appear. If left blank then the plain version of your clan tags will be used

vWorld_ServerName "" // you can rename what your server is called while the mod is enabled i.e.. ^3[MORK]^4vWorld ^1*Running MorkEye.com* (optional)

vWorld_OldServerName "" // **IMPORTANT ** leave this blank !!

NOTE** The mod is enabled by entering values for BOTH the vWorld_ClanTeam and vWorld_ClanTags CVars. The vWorld_ClanTagsColour and vWorld_ServerName are optional.

STARTING AND STOPPING THE MOD

to enable vWorld at the in-game console type :-

/rcon login *password*

/rcon set vWorld_ClanTags

/rcon set vWorld_ClanTeam

/rcon fast_restart

to disable vWorld at the in-game console type :-

/rcon login *password* (if you havent already logged in)

V world
Interesting comment because we were in communications with the AWE team about it, as at the time the only way to get it was the WRM mod. So we actually offered it to them and they said they would look into it.
AWE have now, in V3.1 included the mod we wrote with the intention of combining it with their great mod. This is merely the stand alone option, the original vworld mod.

Part of AWE Mod
Looks nice for a stand alone project but this is already included in AWE. From the AWE readme.txt:

- clan options : move clan members to the same team and non clan members to the other team, reserve a server slot to ensure priority of clan members over non clan members
