I'm real curious, while I wouldnt say Ef1 is totaly dead its definatly on life support, so why do you still come to this forum.

Do any of you still play EF? And is anyone still mapping or planning on making any maps? And if you did would you use the 1.3 mod?

On another topic does anyone know anything about target_objective entities? The entity description talks about what seems to be a script file that is referenced by the target_objective called an.efo file , I cant seem to find any info on how I would make a "efo" script.

target_objective references the Objectives.dat file I think.  It will fire off a flag saying that an objective is done, if I remember correctly.
As for why I'm here: same as any other forum, to chat.  The location is irrelivant, it's the people that matter and why move the people when you don't have to?

I would say EF1 still has a heart beat, faint but still there. As for the 1.30 patch or mod, it is still in my archives. But what of EF2.

As for why I am still here...The people..to learn..to teach..to chat. The same as any other forum.  :s6:

I think its cool that there are still people on this forum that like ef I just wish there were more people playing, its one of the best Mp games ever IMO.
The graphics of the newer games are great (HL2 , etc.) but they just dont compare to the way players move in EF1 ,much more dynamic I guess.

As for ef 2 . I liked the single player but MP never did anything for me.

Graphics are great, but it also takes gameplay. Models that move realistically, not dancing around like in EF2s MP.

It did for me...it gave me arge da

I still play EF1 a lot (don't play other games at all) and I'm having fun in a clan league atm.

Not planning on making maps, servers usually rotate stock maps and the older, well known custom maps. Sometimes a (few) newer maps are played but the main maps are still ctf_voy1/voy2/spyglass/faceoff.

I've got a few maps and mods I'd like to finish (seems like I've always been saying that). I never really played multiplayer much to begin with, though I definitely would if I didn't have so many things keeping me busy.

This has always been the best place to find the most knowledgable modders for EF. There are similar forums out there, but they seem to be 100% newbies asking: "lolololz0rs how do u mak doors? I am l33t h4x0r!" Just typing that gave me a headache. It's ok to be a newbie, but it needs to be balanced between newbies, intermediates, and experts.

I guess I should have posted my second question in another thread it seesm to have gotten lost , but can anyone give me some info on target_objective entities? I want to create a sequence of events that will eventually cause a player to score a point.
