Hello,
I need to make a blackhawk that stands still and an RPG hits its tail rotor and it starts to spin and then it crashes. I made it as a vehicle that goes on a path but it doesnt look good. And the smoke fx doesnt tfllow the chopper. Anyone got a better idea?

You can make an AI shoot the blackhawk to make it at most realistic or you can just call a function to make the balckhawk crash (death).

The aim function goes like this:

	self.pacifist = 1; // make the entity ignore everybody
	self.ignoreme = 1; //make the rest ignore the entity
	self set_ignoreSuppression( true ); // forgot what does this
	self setstablemissile( true ); // stable missile for the rpg
	self setentitytarget( getent("lookatme","targetname" )); //the entity aims at specific entity
	self Shoot(); //self explanatory


where 'self' is the entity (actor) equipped with rpg or at4 which shoots the blackhawk

The death function:

  blackhawk notify("death") // causes instant death (crash) 


where "blackhawk" is the helicopter or vehicle (im not sure if it works with every vehicle)

So, after that, I should manually add a crashed helicopter via script?

My response above tells how to make a helicopter crash via script.

However, helicopter can be also shot down by another AI automatically (just equip them with RPG and they will try to shoot it down).

For a better result (telling exactly where the helicopter should crash), you can add entity which will be the place of crash. I do not remember the name but its quite self explanatory or even script (runtime error) tells you that you need this thing after shooting down heli.
